Aegis AirWatch

Detect. Identify.
Track. Verify.

Aegis combines Remote ID, RF detection, radar, and automated PTZ verification with existing surveillance infrastructure for real-time awareness of drones operating near protected locations and events.

How it works

From first signal to informed response

Aegis is designed to turn separate sensor events into a single, understandable incident record for authorized operators.

  1. 01

    Detect

Sensors monitor surrounding airspace using technologies such as Remote ID, RF detection, and radar.

  2. 02

    Identify

The platform correlates available data to classify the aircraft and capture identifying information when available.

  3. 03

    Locate

See position, altitude, heading, flight path, and operator or control-station location when the installed sensors support it.

  4. 04

    Verify

Aegis PTZ cameras can automatically slew toward the detected aircraft for visual confirmation and recording.

  5. 05

    Respond

Alerts and incident information reach authorized personnel so they can make an informed operational response.

Multi-sensor detection

One technology is not enough

Remote ID, RF sensing, radar, and camera verification each answer a different part of the airspace-awareness problem. Aegis correlates the available sources into one operational view.

SENSOR 01

Remote ID

Captures compliant Remote ID broadcasts and available aircraft information.

  • Aircraft identity
  • Position and altitude
  • Control-station information when broadcast
SENSOR 02

RF Detection

Identifies common drone-control radio activity as another data source for correlation.

  • Common control signals
  • Support for non-broadcasting aircraft
  • Independent correlation data
SENSOR 03

Radar

Detects physical airborne objects independently of a Remote ID broadcast.

  • Non-cooperative aircraft
  • Autonomous flight detection
  • Persistent physical tracking
SENSOR 04

EO / PTZ Verification

Directs cameras toward detected targets to add visual context to the sensor track.

  • Automated camera cueing
  • Visual confirmation
  • Recorded incident evidence

Actual detection, identification, location, and tracking capabilities depend on the installed sensor configuration and operating environment.

Sensor fusion

Every sensor, one operating picture

A hardware-agnostic edge layer normalizes sensor inputs and routes correlated tracks, alerts, and evidence into the Aegis platform.

Operator experience

See the track. Understand the incident.

The Aegis dashboard is being designed to combine live tracks, protected zones, available Remote ID data, PTZ video, and a time-stamped incident timeline.

Operational protected zones

Monitor the airspace that matters to the operation

Operators can define a polygon or radius around a location and configure alerts when a tracked aircraft enters. These zones support operational awareness; they do not by themselves create an FAA flight restriction or restricted airspace.

Deployment options

Airspace awareness, mobile or fixed

Deploy detection as an extension of an Aegis surveillance trailer or as a permanent multi-sensor installation connected to the same platform.

Mobile system

Aegis AirWatch Mobile

Designed to integrate with Aegis surveillance trailers for rapidly deployable public events, emergency response, police operations, construction, and temporary critical-infrastructure protection.

Possible configuration

  • Remote ID receiver
  • RF sensor
  • Compact radar
  • PTZ camera
  • Edge computing
  • LTE / 5G connectivity
  • Battery / solar operation
Permanent system

Aegis AirWatch Fixed

A permanent installation for correctional facilities, utilities, industrial sites, government facilities, campuses, aviation-adjacent facilities where appropriate, and other sensitive locations.

Distributed awareness

Multiple receivers, radar units, RF sensors, and cameras can feed the same Aegis platform to improve coverage across larger or complex sites.

MULTI-SENSOR / MULTI-SITE
Public safety & law enforcement

Earlier awareness. Better documentation. Informed response.

Drone detection can help authorized teams understand what is happening overhead, build an evidence trail, and coordinate the appropriate operational response.

Detect aircraft earlier
Document flight paths
Determine whether Remote ID is present
Locate an operator when supported
Visually verify the aircraft
Preserve incident evidence
Coordinate an informed response
Document repeated incursions
Designed for an evolving counter-UAS framework. Aegis provides detection, tracking, visualization, and incident-management capabilities. Counter-UAS mitigation technologies are subject to federal law, agency authorization, equipment approvals, and operational requirements. Aegis may integrate authorized technologies for qualifying customers where legally permitted.
Incident evidence

A defensible record from detection to alert

Sensor data, track history, camera recordings, and operator actions can be preserved together for review, investigation, and documentation of repeated incursions.

Compliance awareness

Detection does not automatically authorize mitigation.

Deployments must account for FAA regulations, Remote ID requirements, FCC considerations, federal counter-UAS authorities, state and local law-enforcement requirements, and equipment-specific authorization.

Capabilities vary by deployment, jurisdiction, customer authorization, and installed equipment. This overview is not legal advice; customers should consult their counsel and appropriate authorities for deployment-specific requirements.
